Climb – Clear Creek Canyon

We will drive to the East Colfax Crag which is located on the west side of Tunnel 6 (approximately 13.7 miles from the AMC). It is by the Tyrolean to get across the river by The Armory; however, you do not cross the river.

Getting There

Park past Tunnel 6 (39.738628, -105.415236), walk towards the tunnel on the river side. Walk past the Tyrol, and East Colfax is on your right. It is about a 100 foot wall. The approach time is ~5 minutes.

This is a register with leader climb.

People who register without leader approval will be removed from the climb until leader approval is obtained.

You must be knowledgeable in knot tying, belaying, and lead belaying. This is not a beginner class. Lead climbing will be encouraged; you are also welcome to top rope. All personal gear including a climbing helmet is required. Bring a rope and quickdraws if you have them. The following lists the first 19 climbs on the slab in the order they are encountered (L-R). The plan is to stick together as a group use two ropes and climb the routes listed as YES starting with the 5.6 and working up to 5.10a.
