Group will meet in Meeker at USFS/BLM Building, 220 Market Street at 11:00 am, check in @ USFS Ctr, travel less than a mile to picnic area in Meeker for lunch.
After lunch Group will travel to one of these 3 walk in campgrounds: Horseshoe (7 sites), Cold Springs (6 sites), Bear Lake (43 sites). These campgrounds are all walk-in sites. The campgrounds are east of Stillwater Reservoir.
Day hikes from Campground may include Devils Causeway (not the entire loop, just a portion) Mandal Lake Trail, North Derby Trail, trails off Grand Mesa Hwy 65.
Mosquito repellant and/or head nets & hand mitts recommended.
This trip includes 3 days of hiking from a variety of trailheads.
