Camping trip with day hikes each day in magnificent Colorado National Monument. Activities similar to those described in Route & Place.

Carpool and meeting location to be determined.

Recommendations:  two cars for six campers; no solo drivers, convoy to rendezvous point; no early departures.  

BPX trips are open and welcomed to all groups statewide.  Leader will coordinate carpools and rendezvous points for those joining from outside Denver Metro.

Expect monthly contact from Leader with those registered with details offered at one-month, two-weeks, one-week and two-day intervals prior to travel date.

Trails within The Monument are often rocky and uneven; marked by cairns.  Final destinations may involve some route finding.  Trekking poles with rubber tips and good boots are recommended.  

A stop at the Visitor Center on Day 1 will be part of the itinerary.

Camp site fees due upon registration.

Bring cash to pay carpool drivers.

No need for freeze dried food from a foil package - group meals to be planned approximately one month out.
