Several options:

1. Meet at CMC and carpool down;

2. Go down a day early

3. Meet us at the campground or trailhead on Monday (early)

You must secure your own spot at the campground ( Collegiate Peaks Campground ) or coordinate with Garrett for an available tent pad at one of the two spots we have reserved (cost to be split evenly among participants)

Open to folks that Trip Leader Garrett Pettingell has taught, hiked or backpacked with previously. Please respect that. Thank you!
Three nights car camping and hiking 14ers and other trails in the Collegiate Peaks.  Participants will stay in the Collegiate Peaks Campground. We will create a hiking plan or plans that addresses the skill level(s) and interest(s) of the team as it forms. So, a the goal is to provide a 14er option each morning and some less ambitious hikes that can be added or substituted. If anyone wants to join in the planning of that, I would welcome the help!
This trip is about hiking 14ers, fishing, relaxing outdoors as we Coloradans like to do!
The idea is to go down to this magnificent wilderness area outside of Buena Vista for some hiking and camping. Several 14ers are right there. I will bring my weber grill and a fridge so we can keep the hamburgers, steaks, etc. cold. We have sites 36 and 40 so far; more available. I will go down on Sunday and camp there, but the trip officially begins on Monday at the first trailhead.
