BPX Trip – BPX 5-Day: Escalante Petrified Forest State Park Campground

Meeting place will be advised nearer the time for those interested in car pooling to the campsite.

We have booked the group campsite in Escalante Petrified Forest State Park. This interesting park will be our base for 4 nights. Trails through the petrified forest, with colorful deposits of mineralized wood, are located steps from the campsite - perfect for an evening stroll or an easy day at camp.

Leaders will lead a variety of group hikes in the surrounding areas. Mileage and elevation gain will be advised before registration opens. These may include deserts, washes, slot canyons, hoodoos and mesas. Possibility of a sunset hike to enjoy the red hues of Bryce Canyon. 

Campsite includes vault toilet, showers, water, a pavilion, and visitor center. Participants will share the cost of the group campsite ($100/night) as well as the charge  of additional vehicles ($15/car/night) over the 4 included in our rate. Payment will be required in advance.

Please note that this trip is 'Register with Leader' so we can make sure this is the right fit for you. This means you will need to contact us in advance then, if approved, you can register for the trip when it opens.
