Bike – Ride from Frisco marina to Dillon and return - Terrapin

This is a Terrapin bike ride from the Summit County Middle School in Frisco to the Dillon amphitheater and back.

  • Easy

  • Mileage: 15.0 mi
  • Pace: 9-12 mph

We will meet at the Summit County Middle School, not the Frisco Marina. Parking at the Marina is now $2.50/half hour whereas parking at the Middle School is free and along the bike trail. Take the first Frisco exit off I 70 going west from Denver and follow N Summit Blvd (Hwy 9) to School Rd. School Rd is one stop light before the road that goes into the Frisco Marina. Take a left at the stoplight and follow School Rd to Summit Middle School, then south and east to a small parking lot on the right (south) side of the road.  The link to the middle school is: https://maps.app.goo.gl/uRweqqhLWW3fZyKx9

Because of possible construction delays along I-70, we will meet at 9:00 am instead of the usual time of 8:30 am and be ready to ride by 9:30 am.  Please allow some extra time for the drive to Frisco.  Jerry Rowe reported that on July 11 the drive took him 15 to 20 minutes longer than normal.

This is a pleasant ride from Summit Middle School in Frisco to Dillon Amphitheater and back on along the west side of Dillon Reservoir and across the Dillon Dam.  It is for RMOTHG members and guests.  Guests may participate in two activities before joining RMOTHG, but they must either be a CMC member or sign a waiver by registering as a Guest on the CMC website.

There will be an optional lunch after the ride at Nuevo Vallarta Restaurant at 740 N Summit Blvd, a short drive from the Middle School.
