Hiking – Maxwell Falls

Due to an elevated avalanche danger we are going to Plan B: Maxwell Falls. A Front Range gem in a beautiful, forested wilderness. Described as a moderately challenging route due to some steep and rocky ups and downs.

  • Pace: Casual Plus: 1.5 mph / Steady/Minimal stops

Expect an icy trail requiring microspikes and some steeper up & down sections. Pace will be "Casual Plus" - steady but not fast. No one will be left behind!

Meeting Time:     9 am.

Meeting Place:    Morrison PnR (3485 S. Rooney Rd, Morrison, CO
From the Morrison Rd (CO 8) exit of 470 (5A) go west towards Morrison. Take immediate right on South Rooney Rd. Dirt Parking Lot is directly on your right across from the gas station/convenience store.

Microspikes Required. Leader will email everyone the day before the trip with weather & trail conditions.

Poles optional, but recommended for balance on some steeper rocky sections.
