Basic Snowshoe – Colorado Mines Peak

We will drive to the top of Berthoud Pass and then snowshoe up the snow packed dirt road to the summit and back.

We will meet at the Wooly Mammoth park and ride off of I-70 and Morrison road, under the EE sing at 7:00 am

Plan to bring snowshoes, micro-spikes, snow gaiters, insulated water bottle/bladder, water-proof boots/trail runners, poles (if you use them), winter gear, and wind layers. We will maintain a moderate pace and keep things moving to prevent excessive cool down along the way. Consider bringing hand-/foot-warmers and/or goggles, if the weather forecast dictates.
