Backpack – BPX 3-Day: Abyss and Helms Lakes from Bierstadt TH to Burning Bear TH

This trip we will start at the Bierstadt Trailhead, hike along the Rosalie Trail to the Abyss Lake trail, and make camp at Helms Lake. On the second day we will do a day hike to/from Abyss Lake in the morning, and then in the afternoon we will hike south along the Abyss Lake trail to our second campsite. On day 3 we end the trip by hiking out to the Burning Bear East Trailehead.

The Ten Essentials appropriate for an adventure in the Colorado alpine.  Including, in no particular order, proper hiking boots or low top hiking shoes, sun protection, your navigation tool, a personal first aid kit, food, and minimum 2 liters of water. Layers, including rain jacket with hood, a puffy, light windproof gloves or sun gloves. Any questions, please ask.
