This is an early season two day backpack. Use it as a gear check or your first overnight of the season. If you are new to backpacking or new to Colorado, this trip is perfect for you!

Suggested BPX Itinerary:

Day 1 – Hike 3.0 miles west on Colorado Trail Segment 3 to Morrison Creek for camping. (2.8 miles, 400 feet up, 500 down).

Route Day 1

Day 2 – Hike out same path (3.0 miles, 500 feet elevation gain).

Note: Possible option to make trip a loop by returning around Little Scaggy Peak on way out (9.4 miles, +1568 ft, -1432ft).

Optional Route Day 2

Explore close in trails as part of packing out the next day.

NOTE:  $7 per vehicle as of 2022.

Carpool logistic s to be determined two weeks in advance of trip date.
