TBD, tho very early start.

This is a ski/splitboard tour of the Angel of Shavano, a snowfield on Mt Shavano. Depending on conditions, we would carry skis/board to snowline and then skin up. We'll follow a very direct snow line up to the top of the Angel. From there we can see about going to the summit of Shavano or not, depending on group energy level and interest.

Regardless, at some point, we'd put our gear in downhill mode and head down to the parking lot while making some nice turns.

This event requires a fair bit of skiing proficiency, though it is no more than 28 or so degrees in steepness at any point, and prior AIARE instruction.

This event is highly conditions-sensitive. Adverse forecast, avy conditions or high winds cancel.
