Backcountry Skiing/Splitboarding – Copper Mountain Ski Resort

This is a daytime skin up day routes at Copper. The uphill route ascends gently through a treed area so you do not need to worry about downhill traffic. Ski/board down on Copper Mountain runs.

Meet at 9 a.m. at Copper Mountain West Village, on the lower level in between the "Schoolhouse" and the West Village Lodge.  If it is cold, you may wait in the lodge.  Please text leader 303-888-0559 if you are waiting inside.

Copper Mountain Uphill on Route [4] Lewis Ranch Daytime Uphill Route, 2.55 MILES, 1375 FT. Elevation Gain.

Copper Mtn Uphill Pass Required  https://buy.coppercolorado.com/s/mountain-activities/p/202223-uphill-access-pass.  This is FREE if you have a Copper or Ikon ski pass.

After you receive your registration e-mail, SAVE the e-mail and bring it with you.  You should also pick up an armband at the Mammut store.  The store is located in Copper Mountain's Center Village.  See map at: https://www.coppercolorado.com/the-mountain/trail-area-maps/winter-village-map

The Mammut store is open 10 am - 6 pm.  If you are unable to get an armband, you MUST bring your registration e-mail with you.

Gear: AT, Telemark, or Splitboard uphill with skins. The descent is on open Copper Mountain downhill ski runs.
