Backcountry Skiing/Splitboarding – The rugged peaks of Colorado’s Gore Range backdrop the Eiseman Hut, 10th Mountain’s most alpine hostel. Indeed, terrain rules this amazing location: out of the hut door is arguably the best skiing of any 10th hut, and farther afield, tall Colorado alps entice with glistening faces and snow filled couloirs.

There is superlative skiing around the Eisman Hut and the plan is to arrive at the hut early on the 2nd, ski in the area that afternoon.  We will ski in the area as much as possible on the 3rd and may arrive back at our cars at/after sunset.

All participants will actively participate in trip planning.  If you have not been to the hut, plan to review all of the information on the 10th Mtn site before contacting me so we can discuss your plan.  What time do you estimate, what terrain should we be aware of, what is the current and forecast avy and weather conditions, etc.

Potluck meals - it's just a single night, so we can carry in real food and prepare it together.
