Backcountry Nordic Skiing – Sunlight Ski Area

Trip

Backcountry Nordic Skiing – Sunlight Ski Area

We'll skin up to the top of the Sunlight Ski Area. Instead of going up an area ski run, we'll instead follow the backcountry trails in nearby Babbish Gulch. This will make for a more backcountry-type experience as we enjoy the quiet and scenery of the aspen forest. We'll follow the Babbish trails to the top of the ski hill, where we'll remove our skins and ski back down to the base. Climbing skins and metal-edge skis are mandatory. Must be able to ski downhill in-control on a "Blue" ski run.
