This is a popular, relatively easy ski up a gentle road, with good views of the surrounding mountains. We will ski as far as nearby Pennsylvania Mine before turning around. How far up valley we go will depend on snow conditions, and how much we need to break trail. The route does cross some avalanche runouts, which we'll need to check.
Participants should be able to ski at least 7 miles in cold weather.
