This beautiful and remote Ascending Hike is about 8.5 miles and 2,815 ft elevation gain up the Hell's Hole trail and then off trail through trees and tundra to the saddle and peak. A challenging hike due to the rocky trail, and off trail to the peak. Average moving pace 2 mph.

As this is an Ascending Hike which is progressing in difficulty as the hiking season unfolds participants should be acclimated to altitudes above 10,000 ft. and have been consistently hiking before signing up for this trip. Participants should have a general moving pace of 2.2-2.4 mph at lower altitudes. At higher altitudes that may be around 1.7-2 mph.
We will sit down near the highest elevation of this route for a snack/lunch break before heading down.
