A winter hike to the summit of Niwot Mountain (11,471') that starts at the Brainard Lake Winter Parking lot and gains 1,405' in elevation.

Please meet in Boulder @ 6:40 AM in the Safeway parking lot (Directions from the CMC) to arrange car pools to the trailhead (NOTE: There is "very" limited parking at the trailhead) ... We will leave promptly @ 6:50 AM to drive to the trailhead (Directions from Boulder).

NOTE: The Denver Group allows carpool drivers to charge each passenger a mileage rate to defray expenses. It is suggested that carpool trips follow these Denver Group guidelines in reimbursing drivers for car expenses.  This is a guideline, not a policy, meaning that this is a recommended, but not required, method of sharing costs.

NOTE: There is a $10.00 parking fee at the Brainard Lake Winter Parking lot.
