Ascending Hikes – Mt Galbraith

Mount Galbraith Park is a hiker-only destination, with nearly five miles of steep, rocky trails that reward with commanding views of Golden, the plains and the Continental Divide. The Mt. Galbraith Loop circles 1.6 miles around the top of the 7,260-foot peak.

Meet: 8:45am at: Mount Galbraith Trailhead, 21992 Golden Gate Canyon Road, Golden, CO 80403 with a 9:00am start. Finish hike by 12:00pm.

There are no unusual conditions to take in  consideration. We'll ascend the Cedar Gulch Trail, transition to the Mount Galbraith Loop, take the Mount Galbraith Summit Trail, descend the Mount Galbraith Summit trail to the Mount Galbraith Loop, and finally descend the Cedar Gulch Trail to the trailhead. Plan on hiking from 9:00am with a conclusion by 12:00pm. Brief breaks at trail junctions with an extended break atop Mount Galbraith. Slow, easy pace to accommodate all hiker levels.
