This will be a fun hike up Mt Evans/Blue Sky from the Mt Bierstadt Trailhead.  We'll do a little "stroll through the willows" to a gully just south of Scott Gomer Creek.  We'll scramble up the gully to a flat open saddle between Mt Spaulding and Mt Evans.  At the saddle, we'll locate the main trail to the summit of Mt Evans.  We will return via the same route.  You can find the route on 14ers.com:  https://www.14ers.com/route.php?route=evan3

This hike is intended for  hikers who are comfortable hiking at high altitude and off-trail.  Your fearless leader did this hike about 5 years ago, and this is not an established trail.  Expect to do route finding, some Class 2 Scrambling, and be above treeline all day.   Do not expect to hike fast, instead, help with route finding, take some pictures, and enjoy your fellow hikers.
