Ascending Hikes – Geologic Overlook Trail
Let's go on an easy going 0.6-mile Trading Post trail hike with elevation change of 255-feet - beginning at the Red Rocks Visitor Trading Post- adjacent to the Red Rocks Amphitheater. We'll view stunning images of Creation Rock, Frog Rock, Ship Rock and other sandstone formations.

Snow packed and icy trail conditions with requirement to have microspikes of other traction control devices. Both Carroll and I carried microspikes without the need for use.
We shall start this hike at 8:00am from the Red Rocks Trading Post, 17900 Trading Post Road, Morrison, CO 80465 adjacent to the amphitheater, with an estimated completion by 9:00am. The easy going pace of ~1 mile per hour will allow everyone to enjoy the geologic views, the fresh mountain air, and the camaraderie of new acquaintances and old friends.
