Wilderness Trekking Skill Badge

This badge represents what was formerly the Wilderness Trekking School (WTS) Waiver.

This badge is awarded to members who have competency in the skills associated with Wilderness Trekking School, but who did not complete the CMC course. 

Wilderness Trekking School topics include (but are not limited to) clothing, nutrition, navigation by map and compass, snow travel (including ice axe use and self-arrest), avalanche awareness, mountain weather, and basic survival skills. Training and/or equivalent experience in these skills is required to waive WTS.
