Fireside Chat - December 18, 2024: Building Updates for School Directors (RSVP HERE)


We're here to support you! If you need help finding an alternative location, don’t hesitate to reach out. School Directors, let us know your needs, and we’ll do our best to assist or connect you with the right resources. A big thank you to everyone providing updates on alternative locations—we truly appreciate your collaboration during these next few months. Special thanks to CMC members Lena Ning and Linda Lawson for sharing some fantastic findings that could be helpful for your upcoming school or class. We just added these to the list today:


  • We've finished making the move to our new office space! The Colorado Mountain Club office is now located at 15605 W 32nd Ave, Golden, CO 80401. For the rest of the 2024, we'll be open by appointment only while we get our new space fully set up. You can arrange an appointment by emailing office@cmc.org or calling us at (303) 279-3080. Learn more about the new building here.
  • Message to School Directors (11.22.2024)

     At this time, the space is not yet available for scheduling classes or events.  

    • We are actively working to prepare the facility for public use and to ensure it is ready to support our programs effectively. 
    • A definitive date for when the location will be open has not yet been determined. However, we will keep you informed every step of the way.  
    • The parking lot is available if it provides a helpful meeting location. The request is that vehicles are located in the outer portion of the lot on the South and East sides.  
    • The area that surrounds the building is available for use but this needs to be communicated with the office at least two weeks before the planned use. This does not include use of the bathrooms at this time. 

    In the meantime, we encourage you to plan your classes using alternative locations listed in the attached document. If you require any assistance with scheduling or have questions, feel free to reach out to our Membership Services team and myself (office@cmc.org and graham@cmc.org).

  • Pizza Packing Parties: October 28th & 30th, 2024
  • Pizza Packing Party: Volunteer Event
  • On October 28th & 30th 26 members registered to assist with the moving process from the American Mountaineering Center to the new location on West 32nd Avenue. There was a LOT that was accomplished, particularly with the CMC's three largest storage areas which were the CMC Press storage, the Technical Climbing School's gear closet and the CMC Merchandise Office. A BIG thanks to all the hearty volunteers that donated their time, energy, and backs during these two days!!

  • Office Closure Announcement: October 25th, 2024
  • Offices at 710 10th Street will be closed to the public starting October 28th, 2024. Offices will remain closed and staff will be moving operations to our new facility through November 12th, 2024. Please patience with staff during this time as response times will be delayed, including responses from membership services staff responding to emails and phone calls.
