Are you ready to take your wilderness skills to the next level? Have you attended one of our day camps and want to put your survival skills to the test? Join us for a hike and two-night overnight camping trip where you can practice tent building, fire building, backcountry cooking, and more. This great two-night overnight camp will help you build skills for our longer overnight and backpacking trips that we offer. S'mores and campfire stories are definitely on the menu!
- Age: For youth going into grades 3-5.
- Dates: June 30, 2024 (depart at 9am) - July 2, 2024 (return at 4pm)
- Location: This is a 3-day, 2-night overnight camp. We will depart from the Rooney Ranch Elementary in Lakewood, CO. Transportation from Rooney Ranch Elementary to and from Golden Gate State Park will be provided. The group will stay overnight in tents at Golden Gate State Park with convenient access to many trails.
- Cost: CMC Family Members - $395, Non-Members - $445. CMC Members with a Family Membership receive $50 off. Learn about all the benefits of becoming a CMC member.
- Please note, if you have an individual membership and wish to sign up your child, you will need to create a separate guest account with a different email. You can also choose to upgrade your individual membership to a family membership to be able to register your child on your account and receive the discount.
- Course fee includes instruction, shared group gear, transportation from Rooney Ranch Elementary to/from the trailheads, meals, and backcountry permits.

Required Equipment
CMC Will Provide the Following:
- Camping Supplies (tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, tarps)
- Cooking Supplies (stoves, fuel, coolers, dishes, utensils, etc.)
- Food (all meals and snacks)
- Medical/First Aid Kits
- Safety Equipment (GPS devices, etc.)
- Permits, maps, guidebooks
Participant Packing List will Be Provided in the pre-program packet. All camping equipment will be provided.
