This 8 -10 mile ride goes through the John Denver Song Garden, over an elevated boardwalk, past Ute cemetery, and among landscape art at the Aspen Institute (winding sandstone wall, earth mounds, marble garden). Mountain and cross bikes preferable. Road bikes possible. Meet 8:15 a.m. at the down valley end of the Red Brick Building (Garmisch and Hallam). Two hours max. The early time is for quieter trails, as well as to stay cool! Mostly gentle terrain on bike paths with some uphill stretches, crossing about 12 bridges.
