Whenever you have to cancel out of a trip, it is your responsibility to do that online. I will see your cancellation. Here's how: Log in to>Members>My Membership>My trips> find this trip (all your upcoming trips are listed in date order). Click "cancel."
IN ADDITION: if you have to cancel the night before, or morning of, please still e-mail me so I don't mark you as a no-show.

I will contact you a couple days prior with updates. Do not assume bad weather means the trip is canceled. We try to dress appropriately.

Please bring those of the 10 Essentials appropriate to a mountain hike:  Wear proper hiking boots or low top hiking shoes (no flip-flops, crocs, or tennies), sunglasses and sunscreen, a hat, a personal first aid kit, nutrition items, and plenty of water. Rain jacket with hood is a year-round pack item.

No jeans or cotton clothing. We can talk more about all that on trip day.

NO Dogs, please. Look for designated "Doggie Hikes" on the calendar.

Let me know, in advance by e-mail, of any medical conditions that might affect you on the hike.

Starting this May, the Denver Member Initiatives Committee (DMIC) is pleased to offer the third annual Ascending Hikes series.  It is designed for CMC members of all ages wanting to increase (or recover) hiking speed and stamina.  The series also provides an opportunity to meet CMC veterans, make new friends, and explore more of Colorado's hiking trails.  The AH series provides everyone a supportive way to work on their day hiking skills.

Hikes start off easy and gradually progress in length and difficulty so you're ready to tackle a new challenge by the end of summer.  We’ll even offer a couple of 14’er climbs just for AH Participants at the end of the season!
No big commitment. You can jump in or out anytime.
