This is a second field day trip on Jan 23rd for the Nav1 online course.
Prerequisite for participation is either:
Completion of lectures 1 & 2 offered in Spring of 2020 OR
Completion of online Nav1 modules 0-10

Participants must also attend a Zoom webinar prior to the field day.
That webinar will be held on Wed Jan 20 at 7PM, at the following ZoomLink. The webinar will cover general Q&A about the course, review of North Table Mountain plotting exercise, and logistics for subsequent field day.

The object of Nav1 Field day is to put into practice the skills acquired during the lectures or online course. We will focus on Nav Core Competencies and acquiring field travel skills including leap frogging and boxing around an obstacle.

Students will be required to relate terrain to a map, identify map features and also be able to determine field and map locations using a compass.

This class is a prerequisite for participation in Alpine Climbing School (ACS).

There is a great deal of standing around during this field day. It is important that you come prepared for cold weather. Bring essentials as you would for any CMC full day outing.

Covid-19 protocols observed and CMC liability waiver required.
