The hike up will require good winter traction.  I hiked it in my LaSportiva EVOs and it was comfortable.

Once we are on the ridge the decision will be made to continue to the top of the hill or head for the trees.  It will depend on wind conditions.

On the way down we will need the snowshoes!  We will take a route through the trees.  Deep snow and light.  I found it to be a very enjoyable route.

Time should not be a problem. We will have a turnaround time of 12:30.  The trip time to go to the top of Mayflower hill is 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours.

Enjoy the views of Pacific, Atlantic, Fletcher and Drift.

Notes

Great views from Mayflower Hill.

CMC requires we follow all COVID precautions.  Details can be found on the CMC at this link:

https://www.cmc.org/Portals/0/Documents/COVID-19%20Protocol%20for%20CMC%20Trips_1.pdf

To recap this:

1.  Please sign a new waiver.

2.  Bring hand hygiene and use it, especially at the TH before and after the hike.

3.  Masks are required, and need to cover nose and mouth.  A buff or neck gaitor is adequate.  Masks must be worn at the trailhead, when passing other hikers, and when social distancing greater than 6 feet is not possible.

4.  Maintain social distancing of 6 feet.  This is the equivalent of an extended arm with a hiking pole.

5.  Check your temperature 24 hours before, and again on the morning of.  Do not come if you are sick, have symptoms, or have a fever of 100.4 or greater.  The nearest hospital is St Anthony's in Summit County.

6.  Do not share food, water, or first aid supplies.
