A collection of our best films from the past 15 seasons, Backcountry Film Festival's "Best of Fest" will bring us all together to get stoked for the upcoming tour and winter. While we wish we could engage you all in a binge-watching fest of all seasons past in a cozy theatre in your hometown, we figured this would be the next best thing. We hope to see you “here” soon. Read more here, and you can watch our Best of Fest trailer here.

Backcountry Film Festival believes in the power of humans and their spirit. Our mission is to manifest that power in communities through stories of activists, adventurers, and the outdoors to inspire and activate.

The Backcountry Film Festival is a year-round, community program presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance that brings messages relevant to WWA's mission and on-going stewardship, policy, and advocacy initiatives throughout every season. A collage of human-powered stories and backcountry-inspired experiences, BCFF brings wild conversations and inspires action to communities that celebrate the present while looking towards the future.

About the organizations:

The Colorado Mountain Club has been delivering conservation, education, and recreational opportunities to the Colorado public since 1912. The CMC acts as a gateway to the mountains for novices and experts alike, offering an array of year-round activities, events and schools centered on outdoor recreation. The Club connects thousands of adventure-loving mountaineers and teaches the skills to safely and respectfully maximize living in an outdoor playground.

Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving winter wildlands and a quality human-powered snowsports experience on public lands through education, outreach and advocacy. We are an alliance of over 100 grassroots environmental organizations and backcountry partners. Our flagship programs include SnowSchool, which engages over 30,000 kids in science-based field trips and education across 60 sites nationwide, and the Backcountry Film Festival, which premieres every November in Boise, Idaho, and tours over 100 locations worldwide.
