Fly Fishing School

Due to the pandemic Fly Fishing School will not take place in 2021.

We're looking forward to holding the school again in 2022 - please watch for details!

Come out and enjoy fly fishing the streams and lakes of the Rockies. The Fly Fishing School is designed for both beginning and novice anglers and is an incredible value. Experienced instructors teach the basics of gear, knots, entomology, fish behavior, and casting in two evening classes and three field days. Our school (or similar experience) is required for ALL Denver Group fly fishing trips.

Note to all students: You can’t miss any field trip. The field trips are waders on, hands on, in the stream teaching and are mandatory to graduate.

You will receive a comprehensive 100 page handbook covering all aspects of fly fishing, 24 flies and many accessories with a value of $100. You will need a rod, reel, line, waders, boots and CO fishing license by the first field day (the Saturday following the last classroom session). If you need gear, part of the program is designed to help you understand what to get and the instructors can assist you in equipment selection during the class nights.
