Vail Downhill Ski Resort in Vail.
You are responsible for purchasing and obtaining your own downhill ski pass.
Call Curtis Audin at 978-460-1772 for Chaudin51@gmail.com for questions.
This downhill ski trip is for downhill skiers, snowboarders, and telemark skiers.
Meet at Vail Ski Resort at the bottom of Gondola One at Vail Village at 9:45 am. You should be ready to ride the gondola at 10:00, which will take us up to Mid Vail. An exact meeting location will be sent by email prior to the date.
Depending on ski conditions, we will try to get to the Back Bowls.
We will ski intermediate (BLUE) trails. Blue trails are described as:
BLUE DOWNHILL SKISkier should be able to ski moderate terrain (slopes of up to 25 degrees with trees and other obstacles) at a reasonable speed without frequent falls. Should have some experience with poor snow conditions such as wind crust, deep "cement," and variable snow conditions.
Helmets are required.
You must have your own gear and your own ski pass, and you must be comfortable on intermediate downhill groomed ski trails. NO BUMPS or MOGULS. We will ski the same terrain and trails as a group, and regroup at trail junctures as identified by the leaders.
This is NOT a beginner or expert trip. We will NOT be giving lessons.
We will end the group trip at 4pm, and will take a outdoor lunch break where we can purchase food. Bring a snack, lunch, or drink that fits in your jacket or small backpack if you use one.
Optional Apres Ski!
