Location

Car pool arrangements are the responsibility of the interested parties. Please do not consider carpooling if you are not fully vaccinated. Carpooling is discouraged by the CMC at this point.

The Denver folks will meet the leader at Rock Creek trailhead parking lot 730 am.

Contact the leader with any medical concerns prior to the hike.

Snack, clothing adjustments, restroom and other breaks will be only be taken as a group in an attempt to avoid multiple repetitive stops.

Summit county hike off CO 9. We will climb the east ridge of Keller from the Rock Creek trail head. The ridge offers a fun scramble. The last 1.4 miles to the trail head is unpaved, while a 4x 4 vehicle is not necessary it is advisable to have a vehicle with decent clearance.

Details

This trip is sign up with leader and rated as difficult due to the mileage and class 3 ridge prior to the summit. In an effort to be respectful to other participants if you are unsure if this is an appropriate hike for you, please discuss with the leader prior to signing up.
If you have good class 3 skills but don't have a D rating no worries. Please e mail your CMC number when you contact me.


Bring your helmet and 10 essentials.



Notes

Bring warm gear. Breaks will be taken as a GROUP, we need to move efficiently as this is not a short hike and ends with a long class 3 ridge.
