Location

We will meet at the Ralston-Central Park. 5850 Garrison St. in Arvada (NE Corner of Garrison and 58th Ave.) Park in the main parking lot on the southwest side of the park. The entrance is on Garrison St. The park has inside restrooms.

Take 1-70 to Kipling St.; North on Kipling then turn right on 58th Ave, drive about ½ mile then turn left on Garrison St. then right into the parking lot

Details

This is a Gazelle Ride. If your physically fit and like to ride a little faster and be challenged by a few easy hill climbs this ride may be for you.



This route is similar to the Hare Ride lead by Bob Barday on July 30th (Easley Rd/Clear Creek/Ralston Creek Loop) but is three miles longer and has 500 ft additional elevation gain. The revised route includes a loop around the Arvada/Blunn Reservoir. The additional loop includes a couple climbs, the longest is an .8 mile climb up the Ralston Creek Trail on the north side of the reservoir with a fun descent.

The essential items for participating are plenty of water, necessary items to repair a flat tire, (replacement tube for your bike tire size) appropriate clothing for changes in weather and carrying an ID and a medical card. Wearing a helmet is mandatory.

THIS TRIP IS FOR RMOTHG MEMBERS ONLY. Eligible guests (50 years of age and older) are allowed with the signing of a waiver form. Guests may participate in two of our activities before joining the Rocky Mountain Over The Hill Gang section and the Denver Group of the Colorado Mountain Club.
