Those that choose to carpool / caravan meet at the dirt lot in front of the Fort Restaurant CO-8, Morrison, at 6:20 for a prompt 6:30 departure.  CMC strongly discourages carpooling.  Carpooling is at the discretion of the driver.  Please plan on driving yourself.  If you choose to meet at the trailhead please notify me and be there by 8:00.  We will travel up Hwy 285 to the town of Grant and turn right on to Guanella Pass Road.  Proceeding 6.8 miles you will see the sign for Duck Creek Picnic Area on your left.  Turn left on to Forest Service Rd 119 (dirt) and follow that to for 3 miles to the Shelf Lake Trailhead on your right.  FS-119 can have some large dips.
