Details

Session 2: Rock Climbing: Whether you are new to rock climbing or would like to continue learning more skills and climbing techniques, we’ll provide a fun adventure and safe learning environment for you to get excited about the sport! Camp includes a mixture of indoor climbing, outdoor climbing, and bouldering.



 for participants in 3-6th grade (younger participants may enroll with an older sibling in the group)




  • NOTE: A minimum of 4 participants, maximum of 8 participants are needed to run afterschool programs each day. 




  • Includes 4 Tuesday afternoon classes from 4:00-7:30pm

  • 2 Saturday or Sunday full day outings (9am-3pm)* dates are flexible and are dependent on entire group’s availability



Minimum 4 participants, maximum 8 participants



Cost: $375 members/ $425 non-members. Learn about all the benefits of becoming a CMC member.



Course fees include instruction by AMGA certified Single Pitch Instructors and trained outdoor educators, equipment use, transportation to and from outdoor field sites, supplies, and snacks.



Course begins at the American Mountaineering Center (AMC) in downtown Golden. Drop-off and pick-up at the AMC

Financial assistance is available. See application for instructions and deadlines.

Refund/cancellation policy: Requests made prior to 30 days before the beginning of this camp will be processed with a $10 handling fee. Requests made within 30 days of the school/event will be refunded at 50% of the amount paid. No refunds will be made 7 days prior to the event.  If the CMC cancels the class for any reason, a full refund will be issued.

You will be permitted to cancel or reschedule with no additional fees: 

  • If the United States federal government or state of Colorado authorities do not permit the CMC - Youth Education Program to operate throughout the summer of 2021, or if we feel we cannot run a safe, successful and healthy program. 
  • If leading up to your child’s first day of camp: your child shows symptoms, or tests positive for COVID 19 and cannot attend.

Please know that If there is a need to cancel or reschedule, we will credit your registration fees towards a later camp (pending availability), or issue you a refund in full.
