This class is for experienced ice climbers who are ready to get on the sharp end.  You'll learn how to place ice screws, leading strategy, and options for technical descent (e.g. v-threads).  And get plenty of mentorship from our Sr. Ice Climbing Instructors.

If you are new to ice climbing, please take Basic Ice Climbing.  If you're beyond the basics, but not quite ready to lead, consider Intermediate Ice Climbing.

If such mastery cannot be demonstrated, the student will be asked to repeat the course. If a student cannot demonstrate mastery of the prerequisites the student will not be allowed to continue in the class.
