Ever wonder what you would do if you had to spend an unexpected night on the trail? Not every day is 72 and sunny -- and nobody plans to get sick or hurt -- but you should always plan what you would do and what you would carry in your day pack just in case! Tom Hartzell is a CMC Trip Leader and Senior Wilderness Trekking School Instructor; a Wilderness Survival School Instructor; and a Wilderness First Responder (WFR). Maddie Miller is certified as an AMGA Guide and Wilderness First Responder; is the Trip Leader Coordinator for the Colorado Mountain Club; and successfully completed a record breaking 50 State High Peak Challenge. This webinar will provide some great tips and insights about how to survive in the wilderness overnight if you are ever confronted with that situation.

NEW CONTENT -- The content of this webinar will complement the CMC's Survival School, but will not cover the same content.
HOMEWORK -- a note with homework and links to videos and documents will be shared several days in advance of the webinar. (Optional, but good stuff!)QUIZ AND PRIZES!! We have Starbucks gift cards to be awarded to people who get all the answers right. The fact that you have taken the CMC's Wilderness Survival School -- or any other related schools -- doesn't mean you will have an advantage as there is significant content that isn't covered in any of the CMC schools. Completing the homework will be of interest to those people who haven't attended any CMC schools, however.
SPECIAL GUEST -- A member of the Alpine Rescue Team (ART) will be joining us to provide his insights and lessons learned by volunteering with the ART for over two decades
