This will be a casual, out and back spike (possibly snowshoe) hike along the Colorado Trail from the west side of Kenosha Pass. We will hike out about 3 miles, have a break for lunch, and then return.  The round trip mileage is estmated at 6 miles.

The trail is snowpacked but we may encounter deeper snow so you will be asked to carry your snowshoes with you if you choose to wear spikes.

Climbs are mostly gradual but keep in mind that there is a steady climb on the way back.  We will be below treeline but enjoy some openings along the trail. We will avoid any avalanche terrain – none on planned route.

I will send an email Tuesday morning with an update on the weather conditions.

Remember your 10 essentials and a lunch,  trekking poles if you use them, layers, snowshoes and microspikes.

Please contact me if you have any health issues I should be aware of as your trip leader.

Sorry it is past the registration deadline for this event.
