Our Group in Steamboat Springs, Friends of the Routt Backcountry, was adopted by the CMC during our adoption of the Backcountry Snowsports Alliance.
The new program, Backcountry Snowsports Initiative, supports non-motorized winter recreation on the ground and through advocacy. The Backcountry Snowsports Initiative, funded primarily by our annual Backcountry Bash, funds a winter ranger in the Routt National Forest.
